Denver Trippin'

I just got back from Denver visiting Tye's family. They are wanting to sale their house and move to a bigger home. So I went over to help them have a garage sale and to work on the house.


I was there for almost 10 days and the time went by soooo fast!!!


Tara and I cleaned out the store room to gather things for the sale. That meant hauling furniture up and down stairs. Yes, we are buff. Tye was always at work or sleeping as he was working the night shift. I painted mouldings and painted walls. We rearranged the furniture and moved pictures and things around. We worked HARD!!!


I got out a couple of times to go visit my friend Jan Savage and she took me to the best Goodwill stores ever!!! I'm so excited to go to them again next time I am there.



I got to know Traven and Jace better. They are busy active boys like all boys and Jace right now is reminding me so much of how Tye looked and acted at his age. Tye had a turned in foot and so does Jace! I love that Traven can talk to me now too.


A funny story with Traven: I had sat in some water and so it looked like I pee'd my pants. So I went down to change and I showed Traven my wet paints and I told him "Look Traven I pee'd my pants!" (teasing him) and he says "Grandma don't pee your pants like I did at Walmart!!" Oh man, I started laughing so hard!!...


I had to paint when the kids were gone to Zumba with Tara or asleep as they were like bee's to honey just wanting to get into all my stuff. One day I was spackling and Jace was going right behind me sticking his little finger into all the places I would spackle!! Geesh, so after that I had to paint on the sly ;) I don't know how I ever did all the painting and wallpapering and crap I did when my kids were little. No wonder I was crazy when they were little I am sure, (I know) I tried to do way to much with them under foot. Once I start a project, I can't stop!!



Had fun using my timer on my camera with the boys, as they would just run so fast after the picture was taken to look at each and every new picture.

This one with the mirror was fun to get different angles of them in one shot.

All of these pictures were taken outside while we were having the garage sale. Got some good action shots of Traven jumping. I did this to keep him occupied and out of trouble. He loved jumping for me and would have to get a drink of water after each jump. Like he was training...

Tye and Tara made a ton of posters and had them everywhere!!! Tye even parked my car down the street and had a sign on it. I will put them in charge of advertising for all my garage sales!!!

This is the second day of our garage sale..Where are all the people???? Friday was freezing and yet people still came out. Saturday was warm and sunny and we shut down by 1pm because no one was coming anymore, But that was OK as Tara and I went to Kohls to reward ourselves for our hard work!!
Jace at church on Sunday. One more week and he is in nursery, WHOO-HOO for Tye and Tara. Now they can enjoy church more and actually go to class and be able to hear the lessons.

I took this picture while roaming the halls with Jace so Tara could enjoy RS without him running all around in the RS room.

It was a great trip even if we had to work the whole time. It was too cold to go do anything fun outside anyway and I don't like shopping with kids. I can't believe Tye is not in one picture! Like I said he was either at work or sleeping and when he was awake well I guess I didn't have the camera out. I wish I would have taken one of them making all he posters as it was cute the two of them working away on those.

Hope they had fun with Grandma because I had fun with them!!!
