Life in the Blender: EasTeR BLeSSinG's 2012

Easter is a special time of year for me. I LOVE the earth coming back to life after the cold dead days of winter. I love the color's of SpRinG! I wish the spring blossoms and spring flowers lasted all year long. I am so grateful for the Atonement and the sacrafice that Jesus Christ made in my behalf. I have been so blessed and I remember those blessings everyday. I am so indebted to my Savior and all his Tender Mercies he has given me in my life. I also love all the things we do to celebrate Easter...like Easter Egg Hunts, Chocolate Easter bunnies, coloring the eggs etc. that are not at all the reason for the Holiday but a part of our American life. I even love my Easter decorations, I love all my decorations to be fair to the other holidays!! :)

I have fond memories of rolling Easter eggs down the Temple hill in Manti. Even though my family was not real spiritual, the TEMPLE was a part of our lives and in our midst all the time. I knew early on it was a special place. People get upset with the Pagan parts of the Christian Holidays but the wonderful part of those activities is that they create wonderful memories for families as they participate in their traditions. The thing I LOVE most about all the festivities is the PiCTuRe's!!! I just love getting home and downloading them right away. Oh, how I love my pictures. I think when I die you all should fill my casket with pictures.LOL Duplicates anyway, not the originals!!! Those will be left for you to remember all our wonderful times together. ANYWAY.... following is some memories of our Easter Week!

Me getting all the eggs ready and filled for the big egg hunt! Each kid gets one large, medium and small egg of each color. It works great as the big kids are not stealing all the eggs. Once the big kidsget all their eggs the little kids still have plenty of time to find all their eggs without being trampled! Of course we have to help the little ones get their eggs right as most of the time they are just picking up eggs not knowing they are suppose to have 3 sizes of each color but it is easy to throw them back on the lawn when they are not looking and directing them to the color and size they need. We have 3 or 4 GOLDEN eggs with a prize or more money in them, *The smallest eggs all have money in them with no candy. The kids love the money just as much as the candy!!
