I love all the fun things that we celebrate at Easter with the decorations, new church clothes for the kids, candy and Easter baskets along with Spring fever but I loved the thoughts of Jeffrey R. Holland to REMEMBER that
one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. What a wonderful gift the atonement is and the reminder we are given at Easter time that we are to be disciples of Christ, not only in word but in deed and faith also just as Christ was those things for us.

After church on Sunday my sister's family and mine always get together to have dinner and our annual Easter Egg hunt. We have done this off and on since our kids were little. After dinner the guys go out and put the kids baskets in the yard and hide all the eggs. Then the kids run out and find their basket first then they get to find one of every color of the large, medium and small eggs. That way the bigger kids aren't finding all the eggs and leaving the little ones with just a few.
This year we added a "Golden Egg" and a "Silver Egg" that had a dollar in each one (I know we are cheap) We'll have to save up for next year and put a $5.00 bill in each one! That would really make it more exciting to get the exclusive eggs. The gold and silver eggs are hidden really good to make them more of a challenge. Dan hid them so good that it took awhile to find the Golden egg. I liked this new addition to the egg hunt and hope the kids did too.

It was hard to get some great action shots of my grand kids because they were all over the place moving so fast and I was running around trying to capture each ones special moment and trying not to miss just being in the moment myself.
We always take a group shot every year of the kids at the end of the hunt which is very irritating to the kids. I am so happy for it even though it's a hassle.
I also wanted to show off my Easter Egg arrangement decoration as I think it turned out pretty cute.
Hope you all had a very Happy Easter!

  2. Easter was so much fun! I still laugh when I think about Hunter getting the Silver egg and shaking it, "It's empty!" What a silly boy. I love the Egg arrangement, I think you should do a little workshop and teach me some of your skills. I also think the picture of Crew in the bunny ears is absolutely adorable.

  3. Oh wow, that looks like so much fun! I am jealous that you guys have so many little kids running around. Poor Stella is going to be an only child and have no cousins. Sad. You guys look great and I hope you had a very Happy Easter!
