The results of a great week. His legs look the same.
Going through the gear.
OK, so since Spring Break I have been SiCk. When I got back to Provo I had caught the bug that the boys had all week. I kept thinking I was not going to get it but when I did it hit me hard. I have been sick now for almost a week! Thankfully Dan was out of town (so he didn't have to see or hear me in this state) and I didn't have little ones to chase around that I was able to hit my bed and pretty much stayed in my room for about 3 days. My friend Jan came into town on Monday which was a good thing as I was forced to get dressed and after we had a fun little visit I thought I might as well go to the store and get some comfort food and of course some chocolate to make me feel better. I bought the best homemade soup at the healthfood store yum.........it sure hit the spot. Then I was back in bed and out of it for the next 36 hours. ughhh
When I came to I decided to try my own homemade glitter toes to cheer me up. I think they turned out pretty good and all you need is fine glitter and clear nail polish. :)
Rachelle is going through the same crap as I am but as it is for all young mom's the kids don't care!! I feel so bad for her but at the same time I know I had long ago paid my dues and now it was her time to go through it. Another benefit of being older and the Grandma. Hey there has to be some perks for getting old and having to have wrinkles and crepe paper skin!
So, you are probably wondering where is Dan............. While we were having a sick party yet fun bonding time last week he was off in the wilderness rock climbing with my cousin Mike and another friend named Jim. When I would tell him about our crappy day that we had he felt bad to tell me he had one of the best days ever!! I was soooooo happy he was having a fabulous time as he allows me to ALWAYS have fabulous days and times with friends, family and time away for myself. I haven't seen any pictures of their great adventure but I do have a couple of the night they were going through their gear and how his arms looked after he came home. He looked like he had been in a fight with a bobcat!!
The him the more scratches he gets the better. that means he has been doing something very fun and exciting in the great outdoors.
Somehow he has not felt a twinge of a scratchy throat or a sniffle so maybe he will be lucky and not have to experience the adventure we have been having in the great indoors!!
