I just wanted to write about my love affair with my bike. I have had my bike for a long time. She (she is a girl, but I have not named her. I will have to think of a name)has been all the way back to Nauvoo with me and on up to New York and to Canada and back. I just love riding my bike through neighborhoods and checking out all the houses and yards. I had a bad wreck on my bike when I was on a trip to Nauvoo. I was sooo lucky I did not crack my head open or lose my front teeth. I had 18 stitches in my chin. That was a crazy thing. I had just got my bike before that trip and had my handlebars modified. Well, they did not put them on tight and when I was out riding alone that day I went off a curb and they collapsed on me and I was thrown face first into the pavement!!!! I was not wearing a helmet!! They were just getting popular to wear back then. It was crazy getting back to the hotel bleeding and not knowing how bad I was hurt. Peggy, my sister took one look at me and she was grossed out! Well she gets freaked easy over blood anyway. My front teeth were numb and I was so worried I was going to lose my teeth sooner or later. I am still so thankful they did not get knocked out on impact.
Anyway, back to the good times on my good "ole" bike. I am just so happy I have her and just wanted to share how much I like Bikin' around the neighborhood. SO if you see me on my "orange" bike, honk and wave Hi!! Just don't scare me as I would hate to wreck again. I am still not good about wearing a helmet. I'm working on it.
Happy trails to ya!
Hahaha, Russ and I were laughing...uh, I mean talking about that bike the other week. :) It's so awesome, and such a little cruiser!
ReplyDeleteI just got a new bike and I took it for a test ride up Provo Canyon. I love it! Aria had a great time getting pulled along in the trailer. I'll have to bring my camera next time. :)
