South Fork Park

South Fork Park in Provo Canyon is Freakin' Awesome!!! My friend told me about it so on Saturday night we were watching the boys for Matt and Rachelle and we took them up to the canyon to investigate. Well, we were so in awe of this picnic area and just had to come back for our Sunday bar-b-que. We staked out our favorite spot and left Trevor a phone message on how to find it. On Sunday after church we went up early to try to get it or wait for it if we had to and Trevor was already there and claimed it without even knowing for sure if it was "the spot". I was so excited!! He already had a fire going, of course he IS the "Fire Master".
Soon everyone arrived and this was the best spot we have gone to all summer. Each time has been magic and we keep saying we just have to come back next week. Dan's parent's were with us this week but somehow we didn't get any pictures of them this week. weird. Winter will be here before we know it so for now this is our weekly ritual and it has been so fun for our family. We will have bad withdrawal seziures when that day comes.
We were right by a river and had our own private spot. We had our own private cove!!
We grilled hamburgers (thanks Lisa and Richard) this week (I forgot the tomatoes and lettuce, I was so sad!) and Rachelle made Banana cake that is to die for. Landen loves burning up marshmello's when we make Smore's and Thaxton is starting to crawl and loves to get to the edge of the blanket and get right to the dirt!!! Boys and dirt just seem to go together so well. Cody loved the river and playing and wading in it, Landen too! I just love seeing everyone having a great time and loving it as much as I do!
I got carried away with posting lot's of pictures....hope you enjoy them as much as I do!! I can never take enough.

  1. I love so much that we have started this little tradition with our family. We all look forward to it every week. The boys can't stop talking about it. Cody even saved his stick! I love you Mom. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these Sunday dinners. We will remember them forever!
