Hippity Hoppity Easter is on it's Way!

OK, here are some of my favorite Easter decorating ideas that I have done. I love my Easter arrangement I do every year and then the last 2 years I have grown grass. It is so fun to watch the grass grow and it makes your house so springy. Your kids will love it. You can grown it in any container you like. Grab a beautiful bowl or buy a nice piece of pottery or whatever you like. I like a shallow dish so I don't have to haul a lot of dirt in. I use potting soil not dirt from the yard.
I can't remember where I bought my seeds but a nursery can help you out. Sorry I am not home to look at the name of my seeds either. I was anxious to blog today so I will do further research.
A tip* I always take pictures of my decorations from each holiday. I take them not only because I like too, but it helps me remember where I put stuff for each year. How I can improve and to see what didn't work, or what I need to add. Then I also have them for scrapbook pages.
Grass would look awesome growing out of the big bowl with the chocolate rabbit(it's plastic) in it.
More to come so stay tuned.
PS. Moms sewing machine works great, dirty but I am getting it cleaned up and then in for a deep cleaning and tune up on the inside.

  4. I ALWAYS take photos of my decorations, too. Matt, of course, thinks this is ridiculous... but I like it for several reasons...

First, I like to remember how cute it looked (it takes a lot of time, usually...)

Second, it helps me remember where/how I put them up, so I can do the same (or not!) next year. Sometimes I have "help" putting up my decor, so I can say, "Do it like this, but add or change that..."

Lastly, it is GREAT when I am shopping (especially out of season) to be able to go back and look at what I already have and decide what to update or add... or more importantly DON'T NEED! :)
